Hi Wooshin, We do not have AUX output, but the document in 1.1.4 and 1.1.5 mentioned about the AUX output. Could you confirm if this document is for our box? |
Dear River, It is for SWAN project, i think there is some mistake. Let me check with SPTEK and update. Thanks. |
Dear River, Please ignore "AUX output" of 1.1.4 and 1.1.5. If you have any question, Please update here. Thanks |
Dear river, Please update implementation progress. Thanks KANG |
Hi Wooshin, After our internal discussion, the target day to finish the audio routing implementation will be 11/13. We will implement mute/unmute functions by 10/28 and then volume control functions by 11/13. |
Dear River, Following check bellow link. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qjBjpdFp0jcGxxAjryEDPFl_fZNfspyCYm6pTiJbdlU/edit?usp=sharing Thanks KANG, |

Hi Wooshin, We have a question about the BT Source (RCU earphone) for audio routing. Since the SWAN RCU is BA02, BA02 RCU does not have earphone. And as we know, we does not need to support old BT RCU with earphone. Also, our product is a soundbar. It seems is not useful to as a BT source in this product. Could you confirm if this BT source case is necessary? Which kind of user scenario will this BT source be used? |
Update the New Routing table (include AUX and BT connected cases) from mantis 987 for reference. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-CWjjU_kpAeYXLra9OGdqnP80IV6anFGh1NJCGKiPx8/edit?usp=sharing |
Dear River, When BT speaker or BT earphone is connected sound box as description of table this case, it's case is bt source. And this table is made by SKB manager Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, For connecting to external BT speaker case, we think it is not a useful case for a soundbar product. Since this product is a soundbar, why user need to connect to a external BT speaker? This is why we ask this question. |
Dear River, Some customer may want better performance speaker instead of internal speaker and this is requirement of SKB. What do you want ?, you want to remove this function. I think it is not possible to change skb's requrements. Do you have more question abut this issue, Please contact our PM ( Mr Yoon ) Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, Thanks for your reply. It seems the BT source is required. We have another question about the audio routing implementation. We found the SPtek calls setParameter() to pass a parameter 0x20082 to aduio hal. And this parameter means to mute Speaker and unmute HDMI. It looks like it is the the current behavior of AI2. So,we want to know if the Sptek already implemented right parameter for BFX-UA300 soundbar? |
Dear River, "We found the SPtek calls setParameter() to pass a parameter 0x20082 to aduio hal. And this parameter means to mute Speaker and unmute HDMI. It looks like it is the the current behavior of AI2." What you said was talking about watching a live channel ? Let me check to sptek about implementation status. Thank. |
Hi Wooshin, We get parameter 0x20082 when we are watching Youtube. |
Dear River, Currently, scenario for AI2 is applied, they are also working for soundbox. Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, We have a question about setBtvAudioMute(). It seems in current code it will create a /btv_home/tmp/audio_route file to mute the BTV. Could you help to check with Sptek if they check the existence of this file to mute/unmute IPTV player? |
Dear River, Yes, they use /btv_home/tmp/audio_route for unmute / unmute. I got a confirmation from SPTEK (middleware company ) Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, Thanks. We have another question about Vol control. setSpeakerVolume() is defined in 1.5.3.2. Is this API used for setting registers of AMP chips(ad83586b,ad82584f) to output different level of sound? |
Dear River, It will be used same level at ad83586b and ad82584f. Thanks |
Hi Wooshin, I does not understand "same level at ad83586b and ad82584f". I asked this because the Audio Hal already have some code about to setSpeakerVolume(). But it has some code which are commented out. I think it is needed, the comment out code is to adjust the register of AMP to different db level. If it is needed, I will add it back and add another AMP(ad83586b) to adjust both registers. int setSpeakerVolume(int level) { ..... VENDOR_HAL_AUDIO_SetVolumeIndex(VENDOR_HAL_AUDIO_PATH_AMP, level); } int VENDOR_HAL_AUDIO_SetVolumeIndex(VENDOR_HAL_AUDIO_PATH path, int volume_index){ ........ switch(path) { case VENDOR_HAL_AUDIO_PATH_AMP: audio_cb = &_pcm; //VENDOR_HAL_I2C_AudioWrite(AD82584F_SLAVE_ADDR, 0x03, &Volume[volume_index], 1); --> This code is commented out. break; ....... } ...... } |
Hi, river I know there is source code for AI2 currently. Same level means "The volume of the two amp is not applied separately, but must be changed at once." Do add source code as "If it is needed, I will add it back and add another AMP(ad83586b) to adjust both registers." I agree you. Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, Ok, I will let two AMP have some level adjustment. |
Hi Wooshin, For audio routing document, we have a question about "1.3.4 Mute Control". What is meaning of "@Enable "? It already has @ MUTE/UNMUTE why it needs @Enable? |
Hi River, Let me check about below question and i will update. " For audio routing document, we have a question about "1.3.4 Mute Control". What is meaning of "@Enable "? It already has @ MUTE/UNMUTE why it needs @Enable? " |
HI River, Please change default audio ouput to speaker. Thanks. |
Hi River, About " For audio routing document, we have a question about "1.3.4 Mute Control". What is meaning of "@Enable "? It already has @ MUTE/UNMUTE why it needs @Enable? " I am sorry but they(M/W) didn't give clear explanation. I think you have to study source code "setForceMute in audio_device_util.cpp" Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, From the code, the enable is 1 for enable mute/unmute and 0 is ignore. So, it is different from the document. That's why we ask it. From the code, it is not easy to understand with incorrect document. Even just check the code, we still can not understand the original design idea. If we can not get more information. then we will not get deeper into the code. We will wait until any test fail found on audio routing. |
Hi Wooshin, We have a question about the audio routing in Row 7 of https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-CWjjU_kpAeYXLra9OGdqnP80IV6anFGh1NJCGKiPx8/edit?usp=sharing For the case that BT source(BT earphone/BT speaker) is connected and AUX-in is plugged. It will need to output BTV audio to BT source(BT earphone/BT speaker) and AUX-in audio to soundbar speaker. But after our internal discussion, we think this usage scenario is strange and is not common. Could you help to double check if this scenario is needed with customer? |
Dear river, Did you check it in AI2 ? It is working correctly even though almost same platform. Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, AI2 does not have AUX-IN, it only has AUX-OUT. So, this is a new scenario. |
Hi river, I will discuss it with skb manager in tommorow meeting and share result. Thanks |
Hi River, Before meeting with skb manager, i have a question of your status. - About rule of Row 7, is it difficult to implement ? , is there technical problem ?, Please explain detail information. If i attend meeting after my catching your current status, I could get good result for us. Please explain kindly. Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, Actually, we are asking Synaptics how to do it on https://synaextjira.atlassian.net/browse/SKBSBALT-70 We do not know if it is difficult to implement it untill we get response from Synatpics. There may be any performance issue because there two Simultaneous audios are playing. Any performance issue will be verified after it is implemented. But we want to confirm if this scenario is a customer's MUST-HAVE requirement. Otherwise, we may waste time on trying a unimportant requirement. |
Hi River, They told me, it is mandatory . thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, Thanks for your confirm. |
Please update your status. |
Hi River, How about scenario of Row 7 ? |
Hi Wooshin, We are still waiting for Synaptic's reply. |
Hi Wooshin, The status of Audio Routing: Two items are still under implementment: 1.AUX in plug/unplug cases: It is related to https://172.18.223.170/vaas/view.php?id=987#c5267 There are three cases for AUX in in Audio Routing table (with/without BT source, with/without BT sink) (1)Audio gap issue: the AUX-in audio playing does not continue and has pop sound. We are debugging this. (2)Check properties to open/close pcm device: this will be implemented after (1) is fixed. (3)SKT reported open/close pcm devices many times, it will failed to open pcm device again: This will be checked when (2) is implemented. 2.BT Volume control Currently, BT volume control API in audio routing is not working. This is because BT audio will not go through Synaptics AMP_SND module. For case 2, Could you help to check with Sptek what kind of scenario will setParameters("vol_ctrl=dev=DEVICE_OUT_BLUETOOTH_A2DP,INDEX") be used? because android framework should be able to adjust the BT volume by audioFlinger. Why should we adjust it again in audio HAL? |
Hi River, sf Actually, it is controlled by MW using "AudioSystem.STREAM_BLUETOOTH_SCO" I think you don't need to implement it. Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, Ok, Then we will not do any thing about BT volume adjust in audio HAL. |
Hi Wooshin, Update the status of " (1)Audio gap issue: the AUX-in audio playing does not continue and has pop sound. We are debugging this". I raised a Synaptics Jira75 about this issue. I think we narrow down the issue to be some performance issue in Synaptics current codebase. I will implement (2) first when Synpatics is fising Jira75. |
Hi river, What is (2) ? |
Hi Wooshin, (2)Check properties to open/close pcm device |
(2)Check properties to open/close pcm device skb jira : https://jira.skbroadband.com/browse/BTVSBOX-362 |
Hi Wooshin, I add audio routing table and add some comments in the new audio routing doc. Please check it. If any thing wrong, Please let me know. |
I have checked it. It is correct . |
Hi River, I have add whole family earphone, Please check revision document. |
Hi Wooshin, I have two questions, 1.If pass-through mode is enabled, whole family earphone will not be started. Is it right? (Because the audio is not decoded in box.) Or, whole family earphone has higher priority than pass-through mode? 2.Another thing is to confirm for AUX-in case: If pass-through mode is enabled, then AUX-in is plugged. It should mute HDMI and unmute Speaker? Please correct me, if I am wrong. |
Hi Wooshin, After check the Eagle project HDMI mute/unmute doc, I think the current audio routing doc is not consider all cases. For example, how about google assistant case? In old Eagle doc, MW will use setParameters("audio_output_type=submix") to notify us. You can refer to attached eagle doc in "Parameter Setting" sheet (BFX-AT100_HDMI_Audio_Output_Scenario_Eng_v1.0.xlsx). But it is not mentioned in current audio routing doc. And also, how about child_limited case? Actually, we need a table that like "Parameter Setting" sheet in Eagle doc to tell us which condition it needs to mute or unmute output device. But Eagle is more simple because it only has HDMI output. I try to make a table without consider google assistant case and child_limited case. The table is listed in Audio_Routing_Mute_Unmute_All_conditions.xlsx. As you can see, without some basic rule, it is a huge table and the empty part of the table will need to be confirmed. So, please have MW's help to give us a table that is simplified like Eagle doc. Then we can implement it. |

I will discuss with SKB manager using this document. |
Hi River, I have updated document after discuss with SKB Manager. Please check it and share your opinion. Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, There are mistakes in this doc: 1.The row 21 is incorrect in Column K~T, It should be the same as row 37's Column K~T. 2.Row 24, Column Q should change from Mute to Unmute. Please check them. Regarding WFW(Whole Family earphone) and BT Source can not happen at the same time, can we know who will avoid this two situation happens? |
Hi, River There are mistakes in this doc: 1.The row 21 is incorrect in Column K~T, It should be the same as row 37's Column K~T. - CHANGED 2.Row 24, Column Q should change from Mute to Unmute. - I don't know what would changed. Regarding WFW(Whole Family earphone) and BT Source can not happen at the same time, can we know who will avoid this two situation happens? When i do test it, if there is connected earphone, The app could not be launched. The app was automatically turned off while running. |
Hi Wooshin, Correct my typo for 2. It is row 29. The Column Q should change to unmute. I help to change it. Please review it. |
Hi river, I have checked row 29. It's ok. Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, I commit a preliminary version of New Audio Routing Table into bitbucket. There are some known issues: 1.The passthrough mode and BT sink mode can not be detected now and I am working on it. 2.App audio will come to Speaker when AUX-IN and BT source (bt earphone) are both connected. 3.Whole family earphone is not tested. We also need to check if there is any problem in BT sink mode and WFE at the same time. BTV audio output to WFE app. BT sink(Mobile) audio output to Speaker. Simple case for only one device connects should be fine (ex. one of AUX or Karaoke or BT source mode or NUGU RCU) It is a not full tested version. We will based on this code to do more tests and fix found issues. Please note, because we remove the original code in audio hal about audio routing. It may or may not affect the SKT NUGU preprocessing. If any issue found from SKT NUGU, please let us know. |
Hi Wooshin, We will work on passthrough mode first and River will update you on our implementation schedule. |
Hi Wooshin, Regarding no audio on BT speaker. I update your SKT daily build image V19.522.26_ND.zip, and I tested it with BT speaker and youtube. The audio can be outputted to BT speaker without problem. But I saw your test video is based on playing BTV. Since I can not test BTV by VPN today (HTTP 401 error). Could you check if you can play youtube audio to BT speaker on your side. If you can play youtube without problem, then the issue is related to BTV mute. Because I saw a file in /btv_home/tmp/audio_route/priority_btv_muted in your image. This "priority_btv_muted" file is not created by us. Please try to remove it by "rm" command then try playing BTV again. If the BTV audio can output to BT speaker, please ask Sptek or SKT who create this file. Please let me know your result and let us know if we need to debug this "no audio on BT speaker" is issue or not. |
Hi Wooshin, 1.For BTV audio does not output to BT speaker issue (Youtube is ok), I raise a Syna Jira 89. 2.For passthrough mode to enable HDMI, I think it could be finished by 12/25. |
Hi Wooshin, For passthrough mode implement, I found there is an issue. Please help to confirm with Sptek if setHdmiFormat() is only called by switch passthrough mode in Setting UI. When I select passthrough mode ("external device") in passthrough setting UI, I found the setHdmiFormat() will be called twice. First time, setHdmiFormat() is called with mode=0 (0 means AVP_AUDIO_PASSTHROUGH), this is right. But when I stay in this passthrough mode page for 20~30 seconds without any RCU operation, there are second call to setHdmiFormat() with mode=1 (1 means AVP_AUDIO_PCM). You can refer to the following logs: //First time call setHdmiFormat() when I select passthroug mode in Setting UI. setHdmiFormat() is set to AVP_AUDIO_PASSTHROUGH mode. 12-24 15:40:28.485 380 512 D AudioMixer: BTF|AMIXER_SetAudioOutputMode|223|IN| amixer=f06342e8 mode=0 12-24 15:40:28.485 380 512 D AudioMixer: ++AMIXER_SetAudioOutputMode mode : 0 12-24 15:40:28.486 380 512 D halMediaPlayer: ++setHdmiFormat set dolby!!!! 12-24 15:40:28.557 380 512 D AudioMixer: BTF|AMIXER_SetAudioOutputMode|246|OUT| //Wait for 20~30 seconds, a unexpected call to setHdmiFormat() set it to AVP_AUDIO_PCM mode. 12-24 15:40:44.410 380 2150 D AudioMixer: BTF|AMIXER_SetAudioOutputMode|223|IN| amixer=f06342e8 mode=1 12-24 15:40:44.410 380 2150 D AudioMixer: ++AMIXER_SetAudioOutputMode mode : 1 12-24 15:40:44.410 380 2150 D halMediaPlayer: ++setHdmiFormat set pcm 12-24 15:40:44.415 380 2150 D AudioMixer: BTF|AMIXER_SetAudioOutputMode|246|OUT| Please help to confirm with Sptek if there is any bug in the second call to setHdmiFormat(). |
Hi Wooshin, Because we do not get confirm from you and Sptek. This function does not work and will not be committed to bitbucket. Please help to confirm if the setHdmiFormat() is the right place to detect passthrough mode switch. |
Hi River, They(SPTEK) are checking now, if any update i will share. Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, There is also a case that need to be confirmed with Sptek and SKB. It is Google Assistant case. 1.Would Google Assistant acts like NUGU to only output to Speaker and mute all other audio? 2.Will Sptek use setParameters("audio_output_type=submix") to tell us the Google Assistant is playback? Please let us know the answer of these two questions. |
Hi River, 1.Would Google Assistant acts like NUGU to only output to Speaker and mute all other audio? ==> yes, 2. 2.Will Sptek use setParameters("audio_output_type=submix") to tell us the Google Assistant is playback? Please let us know the answer of these two questions. ==> Sptek's owner of this issue is OOO at today. so I will check it tomorrow. |
Hi River, I have discussed with SPTEK about it and i have done test with other BOX. Result are followings. 1. Sptek doesn't use setParameters("audio_output_type=submix"). 2. You don't need to mute any audio output. please keep current setting even though google assistant start. |
Hi Wooshin, OK, I got it about Google Assistant. How about the passthrough mode that I asked in 0000899:0005616? |
Hi River, "How about the passthrough mode that I asked in 0000899:0005616?" It is fixed by sptek, please check it. Thanks |
Hi Wooshin, It seems is OK for Sptek's fix. I will prepare to commit to code. After I commit to bit bucket, I will inform you. |
Hi Wooshin, For passtrhough mode to unmute HDMI implementation, I already commited all the codes except the attached patch. I do not have permission to commit code to folder of "vendor/synaptics/btv-hal-impl/synaptics" in bitbucket. Please have Sptek's help to apply the attached patch in "vendor/synaptics/btv-hal-impl/synaptics" folder. 0001-BTVSBOX-313-Audio-Routing-Unmute-mute-HDMI-audio-whe.patch (1,959 bytes)

Hi River, I have requested it to SPTEK. thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, For passthrough mode, I saw Sptek already help to check in the patch. Please test it, if you find any issue, please let me know. |
Hi River, I already checked it, it is working correctly. But, volume level is lower than smart3. We need to check it. Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, What content and step did you test ? |
I mean pass-through mode. steps 1) Set TV volume level 15 2) Eagle and swan set audio output to pass-through. 3) You can hear eagle volume is bigger than swan. Thanks. |
Any update..? |
Hi River, Did you finish all ? |
Hi Wooshin, For audio routing, it is not finished yet. We still have some issues in following cases: 1.Only BT mobile connected: Required(AI2 Behavior): When playing BT mobile music, Youtube and BTV need to be muted. When pause BT mobile music, Youtube and BTV can output audio to Speaker. Current result: Youtube and BTV wll be muted no matter BT mobile is playing or not. 2.BT mobile connected and WFE app is connected: Required(AI2 behavior): Youtube Case: Youtube is muted no matter BT mobile is playing or not. BTV Case:When play BT mobile music, BTV needs to mute. When pause BT mobile music, BTV can output audio to WFE. Current result: Youtube Case: When BT mobile playing music to speaker, then watching Youtube. Youtube audio outputs to speaker and BT mobile is muted. When BT mobile is paused and Youtube is playing, Youtube audio outputs to Speaker. BTV Case: BT mobile music outputs to Speaker, but BTV also outputs to both Speaker and WFE. 3.Only WFE app is connected: (Synaptica Jira 90) Current result: Youtube audio does not output to WFE. (AI2 has the same issue) 4. BT Speaker is connected and AUX-in is plugged: Current result: When playing Youtube and AUX-in audio, Youtube audio outputs to both Speaker and BT Speaker. AUX-in audio also outputs to both Speaker and BT Speaker. When playing BTV and AUX-in audio, BTV audio outputs to both Speaker and BT Speaker. AUX-in audio also outputs to both Speaker and BT Speaker. 5. WFE app is connected and AUX-in is plugged: Current result: When playing Youtube and AUX-in audio, Youtube audio outputs to Speaker but not to WFE. When playing BTV and AUX-in audio, BTV audio outputs to both Speaker and WFE. 6.Launch Karaoke App: Current result: If WFE app is connected, Karaoke MIC and music will also output to WFE and Speaker. (Need to check AI2 behavior) If BT Speaker is connected, Karaoke MIC and music will also output to BT Speaker and Speaker. (Need to check AI2 behavior) For 2,3,4,5,6, we raise a jira 98 to ask Synaptics how to control audio path inside their SDK. But for case 2, could you help to confirm what kind of behavior can meet SKB's requirement? Because there is a known issue that Youtube can not output to WFE on AI2. So AI2's behavior for youtube may be wrong in it's current implementation. Also for case 1, do we need to do like AI2 to monitor BT mobile paly/pause status to mute/unmute Youtube and BTV? |
Hi Wooshin, Could you also help to check with SPtek if they can call setParameters to notify us the start and stop of Google Assistant? Because currently, the audio routing may mute Speaker for some cases, if we does not know the Google Assistant need to play TTS, the TTS of Google Assitant will be muted. I think SPtek should have experience in Eagle project to do this. |
Hi, i am sorry but they know only start case because Google Assistant is started by RCU. They don't know end case. Thanks. |
About remain issue (5951), i will check it also. |
In case of 1, I think that it is common behavior. So you don't need to fix it. |
Hi Wooshin, For case 1 and case 2 , actually, we already committed code about BTV part to act like AI2 yesterday. (When BT mobile is playing, BTV will be muted. When BT mobile is paused, BTV audio will output to Speaker.). But for case 1, after commit the code. Youtube's behaviors are : If BT mobile is playing, then you play Youtube. Speaker will only have Youtube audio. If Youtube is playing. then you pause and play BT mobile(after pause, it needs to wait few seconds to play BT mobile). Speaker will only have BT mobile audio. Please let us know, which kind of behavior SKB wants. If they want the behavior before we committed, please let me know. Then I will revert it. Also for case2, what kind of behavior they want? |

Hi Wooshin, FYI. For case 6. we already fixed it. When Karaoke App is launched, there will be no audio output to WFE and BT Speaker. Only Speaker will have audio output. |
Hi River, Please keep current status. Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, Ok. Then for case 1, Youtube case, do we need to try to do the same behavior as AI2 ? Because we already had put resource on doing the same behavior as AI2 for case1 Youtube. If current behavior can meet SKB's requirement, then we will move resource to other issue. |
Hi River, Swan is different with AI2. We made new specification for Audio routing and we got a confirmation from them. So, now we can proceed like this. Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, Thanks, Then we will let case1 keep it's current status as following and move resource to other issues. If BT mobile is playing, then you play Youtube. Speaker will only have Youtube audio. If Youtube is playing. then you pause and play BT mobile(after pause, it needs to wait few seconds to play BT mobile). Speaker will only have BT mobile audio. |

Hi Wooshin, I list the current issues: 1.Only WFE app is connected: (Synaptica Jira 90) Current result: Youtube audio does not output to WFE. (AI2 has the same issue) 2. BT Speaker is connected and AUX-in is plugged: (Synaptica Jira 98) Current result: When playing Youtube and AUX-in audio, Youtube audio outputs to both Speaker and BT Speaker. AUX-in audio also outputs to both Speaker and BT Speaker. When playing BTV and AUX-in audio, BTV audio outputs to both Speaker and BT Speaker. AUX-in audio also outputs to both Speaker and BT Speaker. 3. WFE app is connected and AUX-in is plugged: (Synaptica Jira 98) Current result: When playing Youtube and AUX-in audio, Youtube audio outputs to Speaker but not to WFE. When playing BTV and AUX-in audio, BTV audio outputs to both Speaker and WFE. 4. Google Assistant TTS audio does not come out in following cases. We need to check if there is any way to know Google Assistant TTS is ended. 4.1.Only AUX-in is plugged. 4.2.WFE App is connected. (This is related to issue 1 in Jira90) If there is no way to know the Google Assistant TTS is ended, then we can not output Google Assistant TTS audio to Speaker like NUGU. It will behave like Youtbue to output audio to other devices like Youtube do in all cases. |
Hi Wooshin, I am checking VOC issue for Eagle. So no any update so far. |
Hi Wooshin, I commit the fix about Youtube audio can not output to WFE. Please see my update of the current issues: Fixed issue: 1.Only WFE app is connected: (Synaptica Jira 90) Current result: Youtube audio does not output to WFE. (AI2 has the same issue) Unfixed issues: 1. 2. WFE app is connected and AUX-in is plugged: (Synaptica Jira 98) Current result: When playing Youtube and AUX-in audio, Youtube and AUX-in audio output to Speaker and WFE. When playing BTV and AUX-in audio, BTV audio outputs to both Speaker and WFE. 3. Google Assistant TTS audio does not come out in following cases. We need to check if there is any way to know Google Assistant TTS is ended. 4.1.Only AUX-in is plugged. If there is no way to know the Google Assistant TTS is ended, then we can not output Google Assistant TTS audio to Speaker like NUGU. It will behave like Youtbue to output audio to other devices like Youtube do in all cases. |

Hi River, 1. In case of karaoke app running and karaoke mic connected When i set external device for audio out like attached image, it must be out from hdmi, but audio out from speaker and i can't control volume. 2. In case of WFE, same. |
Hi Wooshin, For your two cases, I think the audio path is OK in current implement. We follow the spec in https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nPiuVKMs_0e9Ez2uPAt4obq8KocPfh9vXX1trCpG4sw/edit#gid=0 The audio will only output to HDMI in only one case that passthroug mode is enabled and no other devices are connected (row 14 case in above google doc). Please double check it again. 1. This is defined in row 26 in https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nPiuVKMs_0e9Ez2uPAt4obq8KocPfh9vXX1trCpG4sw/edit#gid=0 When Passthrough mode is enabled and Karaoke App is running, the Karaoke audio should output to Speaker. 2. This is defined in row 27 in https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nPiuVKMs_0e9Ez2uPAt4obq8KocPfh9vXX1trCpG4sw/edit#gid=0 When Passthrough mode is enabled and WFE is connected, it should output BTV audio to WFE. |
Hi River, I am sorry for my misunderstanding, In upper two case, volume level will be set Max and user can't control volume. I will discuss about this case with SKB and back. Thanks. |
Hi River, It will be changed in ui. Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, For remained audio routing issue in 0000899:0006243, we are still waiting for Synaptics's supoprt. It needs Synaptics SDK to do some modification to support it. We raised a Synaptics Jira 98 to discuss it. |

Hi Wooshin, For item22(BT sink+Passthrough) in https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nPiuVKMs_0e9Ez2uPAt4obq8KocPfh9vXX1trCpG4sw/edit#gid=325589293, I have a question about the implementation. I list two possible implementations, please decide which one you need? Implementation 1: Mute BTV no matter BT sink(mobile) is playing or pausing. 1.1 BT sink connects and BT sink is pausing: Mute BTV, so there is no sound when playing BTV or Youtube on SWAN. 1.2 BT sink connects and BT sink is playing: BT sink(mobile) audio is output to Speaker. Mute BTV at the same time, so there is no sound when playing BTV or Youtube on SWAN. Implementation 2: Unmute BTV when BT sink is pausing. Mute BTV when BT sink is playing. 2.1 BT sink connects and BT sink is pausing: Unmute BTV, so BTV/Youtube audio is output to HDMI when playing BTV or Youtube on SWAN. 2.2 BT sink connects and BT sink is playing: BT sink(mobile) audio is output to Speaker. Mute BTV at the same time, so there is no BTV/Youtube audio when playing BTV or Youtube on SWAN. |
Hi River, Do implement second scenario. Audio playing of bt player should be keep. Thanks. |
Hi Wooshin, OK, I will implement as implementation 2 for item22. |
Hi Wooshin, Take a note of today's meeting discussion about Google Assistant implementation. The Google Assistant will output to the the same device(WFE or HDMI or Speaker) as BTV/YouTube. |
All audio routing functions are implemented. If any issue found, please raise separate mantis for each individual issue. |
I close it now and will make new ticket if new issue found in audio routing. |
